Sage Art produces a great collection of Equine & Small Animal Art, including; calendars, note cards, gift cards, playing cards, temporary tattoos, t-shirts, poster, prints to be framed and our special 10th Anniversary planner!

Sage Art is the child of Equine Artist Alexandra Joy, who resides on her horse farm in rural Ontario, Canada. Over the past five years Sage Art has burgeoned into a healthy demanding child with product going into the United States, Europe and as far as Australia.

Joy still does some commissioned work, but her book is limited, as much time is spent on “guiding the missile”.

The company now has a warehouse in New Jersey for speedier delivery to the growing number of stores carrying her product, as well as the Sales & Distribution Centre in Southwestern Ontario, that was put in place to help take care of the growing Small Animal sector.

Joy says "thanks" to the kind words from those that took in the One London Place Show. And "thanks" for the emails and phone calls from those of you that found the Black Opal Artists article in a recent issue of Lifestyle. "Good to hear from old friends."

In Honour of Our Service Horses

Brigadier - 1997-2006 Metro Toronto Mounted Police - "In the Line of Duty"Brigadier was an exemplary member of the Toronto Mounted Police and the City of Toronto and his co-workers have suffered a huge loss in his passing. Brigadier was cut down by an irate motorist during a normal working day. Such an incredible waste of life leaves us all shaken and angry. I encourage you to visit sites that are asking for help and understanding in the way we deal with the issue of how our service animals are valued. Please visit www.torontohumanesociety.com also www.brigadierslaw.ca

With the blessing of Anne de Haas, (Brigadiers photographer) Sage Art has taken an initiative to help bring some awareness to those that perhaps take for granted the service that these horses give us everyday without hesitation. They give whatever is asked of them. We owe them respect and a huge debt of gratitude. We should not let the memory of Brigadier fade as we risk forgetting to be proactive in the protection of our service animals.

Each Canadian purchase of a Brigadier print will help the University of Guelph Equine, as a fund has been put in place in Brigadiers name.

Also look forward to seeing this image in the 2007 calendar. The 2007 calendar will be dedicated to working and service horses.

Sage Art wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday season. We will be closed from December 18 thru till December 27.
